Dr. Jue Wang leads optical surfaces and coatings for Corning Advanced Optics. Jue established optical coatings for Laser Optics, Precision Optics, and A&D optics. Jue made technical contributions to Gorilla Glass and other Corning business units.
Amazed by light-matter interactions, Jue pursues fundamental understanding, while cherishing industry technical innovation. His adventure leads to 30 issued patents, over 100 publications. Jue served dozen SPIE & Optica committees, chaired Optica (formerly OSA) Thin Film Technical Group, served as the topic editor of High-Power Laser Science and Engineering, received dozens of recognitions and awards including Corning Foundation Excellence in Volunteerism in 2019.
Before joining Corning, he was a full Professor of Physics at Tongji University. He was German Volkswagen and DAAD research fellows at Wuerzburg University. He received his BS and Ph.D. in physics and optics from Fudan University and SITP, CAS.
