Profile Summary

I am SPIE member of Charles University in Prague Chapter from 2013, in 2016 elected as an officer. I participate in "Demonstrations of Physics on High Schools" project of our Chapter, we visit about ten schools every year with popular experiments and workshops. Last but not least, I often organize team-building activities for Chapter's members.

I studied quantum optics and optoelctronics on Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (Czech Republic) and his theoretical diploma thesis was about anisotropic optical response of GaMnAs. I am now focused on ab initio calculations, especially on developing new methods that may by used for different kinds of materials, especially magnetic ones relevant for spintronic applications (ferro- and antiferromagnets, topological insulators, ...).
