Takahiro Ando received the Ph.D. degrees in Engineering from Keio University in 2012 (supervised by Prof. Minoru Obara). He was a Research Fellowship (DC1) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2010-2013. He has been a visiting researcher in Prof. Michael Hamblin's lab in the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Mass. General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 2010-2011. Also, he has been a visiting researcher in Prof. Elliot Botvinick's lab in the Beckman Laser Institute, UC Irvine in 2012-2013. His academic research interests include laser-mediated gene therapy and low-level laser therapy, especially for treatment of neurological diseases. Since 2013, he has been working in the research labs of Hitachi, Ltd. to develop various novel technologies for cell measurement and blood testing devices. https://researchmap.jp/tkando
