Sami Hendow is an executive consultant supporting clients in the development and marketing of lasers and EO systems for industrial, medical and scientific markets. His expertise include optical system design, micromachining process development, and marketing of laser systems.
Recently, he was Sr. Director with Multiwave Photonics responsible for Engineering and Application Development. During this tenure he was instrumental in incorporating burst mode functions in lasers. Prior to that he was Engineering Program Manager with Spectra-Physics developing solid state and fiber-amplified ps laser. Before that, he was Sr. Scientist at Northrop Grumman working on power scaling of fiber lasers by passive coherent beam combining.
Over the last 25 years, he has developed and introduced several lasers, fiber and EO products to market. He has more than 50 articles and 10 patents related to lasers and photonics technologies. Sami has a PhD in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona. He was Chair of 2013 Fiber Lasers Conference, Photonics West, and is a member of conference program committees of Fiber Lasers and LAMOM Conferences at Photonics West, and Laser Microprocessing at ICALEO.
