A design scheme of a general portable communication simulator is proposed. The simulator is capable to provide VHF frequency-fixed signals, frequency-hopping signals, and spread spectrum signals. The detailed technical designs of key modules are presented, and so are their engineering implementation methods. Applying results demonstrate its capability of producing realistic communication signals as well as promising prospect of engineering applications.
