· Lead optical engineering effort of a pocket-size full-color laser projection display. Lead optical engineering team in technologies introduction and product realization of various barcode reading modules, handheld and checkout scanners. Named Motorola Master Innovator.

· Developed laser focusing systems, integrated opto-mechanics, and demonstrated many generations of barcode scanner product miniaturization using VCSELs, MEMS mirrors, and precision injection molded optics.

. Hold 50 issued US and international patents, with many more pending, in the areas of laser display, barcode reading, laser beamshaping, and MEMS systems.
