Sepehr Benis is a 3rd-year Optics graduate student at CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics, the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL where he is researching with Dr. Eric Van Stryland and Dr. David Hagan. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2014 from the University of Tehran in Tehran, IRAN. He s a student member of SPIE, OSA, and APS.

Benis' current research is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and AirForce Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), and Army Research Lab (ARL). He is investigating properties of different nonlinear optical materials including solid sates and liquids and their applications in nonlinear optics.
