Profile Summary

I received my PhD from Université Laval in 2016. My thesis focused on the use of panoramic lenses in 3D reconstruction, at the boundary between optical engineering and computer vision. Following my PhD, I became the scientific coordinator of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Neurophotonics. Since 2017, I am a research associate at the Optical Engineering Research Lab at Université Laval. I am also responsible of the scientific and technical coordination of the NSERC Industrial chair in optical design. I currently participate in several research and development projects in collaboration with industries, and astronomical instrumentation projects such as NIRPS, GIRMOS and HiCIBaS.

I am passionate about education and training. I had the opportunity to the chair of SPIE Education committee from 2017 to 2019, and to welcome the international conference SPIE/OSA/IEEE/ICO Education and Training in optics and photonics in 2019. I am also the co-chair of Optics Education and Outreach conference at SPIE O+P since 2020. Since 2021, I am involved in public policy as a member of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
