1 February 1996 Optical flat surfaces: direct measurements of the spatial frequency spectrum of surface errors

Some applications of optical surfaces require, in addition to measurements of their absolute deviations from flatness, measurements of the spatial frequency spectrum of these errors. A simple method which can be used for this purpose is described.
