Abstract
This paper describes the results of an HMI development and ground tests related to the combination of distributed aperture imagery with a lidar based fused 3D symbology. The combined system was evaluated in a simulator environment and on a vehicle based ground demonstrator for its capability to significantly mitigate DVE conditions, especially night level 5.
