Abstract
An embeddable type of rebar sensor has been co-developed by CPGLab and Smart Fibres in response to the increasing demand for structural health monitoring with fibre optical sensors that are robust enough to be cast and integrated together with the concrete structure during the construction stage. Laboratory testing and actual monitoring for buildings and bridges have proven the performance of the embeddable rebar sensor to be accurate and reliable.
