Abstract
In this paper I will describe the design of a warm shield used in an infrared system that operates in the 8-12 micron wavelength region. I will describe the optical design considerations, show the experimental setup, describe the testing process and then I will evaluate the performance of the warm shield dewar against proposed requirements.
