Abstract
Coherence effect on optical temperature sensing based on periodic chaos synchronization using optical fiber ring resonators is investigated. The range in the change in correlation coefficient reduces as the spectral width of the light transmitting through the fiber resonator increases. Spectral width less than 1.0[MHz] in the light source is necessary for sensitive temperature sensing when a 100[m] length fiber resonator is used.
