Abstract
Hard electro-magnetic (EM) impulse influence over optical cables is considered. This problem is typical for optical cables with metallic constructive elements. In such cables there can be electrodynamic destruction factors. EM influence sources, means and mechanisms are considered. The necessity of optical cable (OC) EM safety technical inspection on fiber-optic transmission line (FOTL) linear-cable construction is shown. The choice of analytical methods of EM conditions and complex appraisal ofconnection objects EM compatibility is done.
