Abstract
For the purpose of online process control and quality assurance robot based inline metrology systems are used more often nowadays. With the application of this systems new so far not realizable concepts like a 100% inspection of all manufactured parts can be used. In this article an easy way of improving the programming of close range inspections with robots is presented. Therefore robots can be used even more flexible and effective in the production metrology. The resulting visual robot control relays on the depth of focus effect. The visual control concept and calibration method are presented.
