Abstract
The symmetric two-wave interaction on the transmitting photorefractive grating in a crystal of group symmetry 23 in an external alternating-sign electric field is considered for the case of small modulation index m of the interference light pattern. The periodical temporal modulation of m is taken into account. The space-charge-field amplitude and two-wave coupling gain are analyzed for the longitudinal and transverse electro-optic configurations.
