Abstract
At the Graz Research Centre, an instruction Library for a deAnza IP 6400 Image Array Processor has been developed. This library provides easy access the image processing facilities and speeds up algorithm implementation considerably. The paper presents the application of these instructions to some image processing tasks and discusses arithmetic problems arising from the use of eight bit operands.
