15 October 1999 Time-division displacement pattern measurement of vibration surface by using stroboscopic holography

Abstract
For a vibration analysis of an object surface, the holographic interferometry measuring technique is one of the most efficient methods for non-contacting measurement of a microscopic displacement. Using this technique, it is possible to measure the vibration surface by means of an interferometric fringe pattern due to the vibration. In this fundamental study, for the time resolved displacement pattern measurement of the vibrating surface, the stroboscopic method was applied, and compared with the time average method. The results showed that the stroboscopic method is useful in time division pattern analysis of the microscopic displacement due to vibration of the object surface.
