Abstract
The algorithm of the automated resolution estimation for on-board imaging videosystems (TV, thermal scanner, etc.) is described. The main benefits of the proposed method, as compared with the traditional visual method of the resolution estimation, are that the results do not depend on the experience of the observer and that the procedure of processing and analysis of the results is less time-consuming. An example of practical realization of the algorithm for the flight experiment data is given.
