Abstract
An electromagnetic tracking system is evaluated as a series of reference coordinates systems, where rotation operators transform one reference frame to the next. System errors are identified. Methods for system boresighting, EM field deviation mapping and accuracy testing are presented. Error correction of the mapped field deviation is discussed.
