Abstract
The use of interferometric fiber-optic sensors is discussed in relation to the measurement of physical parameters such as vibration and pressure. The performance of fiber-optic sensors incorporated into networks is presented along with calculations to show how this performance would be affected if the network were connectorised to enable it to be reconfigured.
