Abstract
The vibrational assignment of tetronic acid has been extended by analysis of polarized IR spectral data on single crystals. Many of the molecular vibrations that were difficult to assign from unpolarized IR and Raman spectra could be resolved and assigned from the polarized IR spectra. The optical crystallographic properties of tetronic acid are also reported.
