Abstract
The feasibility of constructing 2D IR correlation spectra from nonsinusoidally varying transient spectral data is demonstrated by using time-dependent compositional changes induced by the selective loss of volatile components from a model system consisting of polystyrene, methyl ethyl ketone, and perdeuterated toluene. The capability of producing 2D IR spectra from transient data will be especially useful in analyzing complex time-dependent processes, such as multistage chemical reactions.
