GYROTRON IVA has been used as the millimeter-wave source in a series of scattering experiments on the TORTUS tokamak plasma at the University of Sydney. The aim of this work was to study the occurrence of Discrete Alfven Wave modes and Kinetic Alfven Waves when the plasma was heated by RF power.
