Abstract
Design and fabrication considerations for 32-channel modulation in a single acousto-optic device are presented. Preliminary research work was focused on reducing acoustic and electrical crosstalk between channels. The Bragg cell attains diffraction efficiency of 40% per channel when the RF power is 150 mW and a channel to channel isolation of 24 dB.
