Abstract
Exploitation reliability of porous thermal insulation depends strongly on its moisture because the excess water leads to its destruction under extreme conditions. Active and passive thermographic methods are described to estimate the distribution and quantity of water inside the insulation by using the Soviet thermoviser TV - O3 and IR pyrometer.
