Dye-sensityzed photopolymer(1) material
consists of a mixture of water-soluble acxylic
monomers, a catalyst and a sensitizing dye.
Photoexcited dye molecules react with the
catalyst, producing free radicals which initiate
polymerization of monomers. The molecular
diffusion phenomena are involved in the
formation of the refractive index modulation.
