Abstract
3D terrain reconstruction technology can produce mathematical models corresponding to real scenes, and be applied to research fields such as scientific exploration, heritage conservation and architectural design. Taking the Mount Everest as an example, this paper realizes the construction of a real terrain model in UE4 (Unreal Engine 4) by high-precision DEM (Digital Elevation Model), and explore the cause of the step-like surface of the model and solve it. Using UE4 for reconstruction can improve the efficiency of using terrain models and help terrain models into subsequent applications.
