Eu3+ doped glass-ceramics containing NaGd(WO4)2 crystal phase were prepared by melt crystallization. The crystals in glass-ceramics were characterized by XRD and SEM. After heat treatment, NaGd(WO4)2 crystal phase is precipitated in the glass phase. Under the experimental conditions, the change of Eu3+ concentration did not cause the appearance of impurity phase. By comparing the SEM images of glass and glass ceramics, no grains appeared in the glass preparation process. After heat treatment, the crystals precipitated are cuboid. The precipitated crystal is a cuboid. The optimal doping concentration was shown by fluorescence spectrometry as 0.9%, and the corresponding chromaticity coordinates were (0.6181,0.3521), which was in the red light region. By calculating the critical distance, it is determined that the energy transfer mechanism between Eu3+ is the electrical multistage interaction.
