Abstract

Classifying the equipment type of hostile targets in military applications in SAR images is crucial and requires higher classification accuracy. Using data enhancement techniques, this paper conducts an experimental study on the classification of MSTAR dataset using a convolutional neural network with the addition of an attention mechanism and obtains the advantages of strong generalization ability, fast training speed, and high fitting efficiency of the target classification method proposed in this paper.
