Abstract
The dynamic range consideration of complex integer computations in a complex residue number system (CRNS) normally necessitates scaling. As the scaling factor increases so does inaccuracy of the CRNS computation. The dynamic range may be increased only at the expense of accuracy. Algebraic integer RNSs (AIRNSs) and separable moduli RNSs (SMRNSs) have been studied because of their potential for reducing the scaling requirement . To further understand AIRNSs and SMRNSs a general conversion procedure between the two number systems has been coded and used to draw some preliminary conclusions about scaling. 1. 0
