Abstract
Recent advances in optoelectronic devices are reviewed focusing on semiconductor lasers, optical amplifiers, and both monolithic and hybrid optoelectronic integrated circuits. Problems discussed include discrete optoelectronic components, optoelectronic integrated circuits, and passive components made of III-V compounds and hybrid integration of optoelectronic devices and other guiding media.
