Abstract
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have also been investigated to act as flying edge nodes due to their efficient mobility. In this paper, we build a collaborative mobile edge computing (MEC) system with multiple unmanned aerial vehicles and the base station (BS), where the UAVs and the BS are deployed as edge computing servers. In this system, we minimize the system delay by jointly optimizing the deployment of UAVs, task offloading, and resource allocation. To provide users with better service quality, a heuristic algorithm FIDE is proposed to solve this problem. First, we determine the location of UAVs by fuzzy clustering, then we get the optimal resource allocation by the Lagrange-multiplier method, and finally we apply the partitioning idea to group users and use co-evolution to obtain the offloading scheme of users. The simulation results show that our proposed approach outperforms other baseline approaches under the same conditions.
