Abstract
The spark ablation solid injection method has the advantages of direct determination of conductive samples, low price, good repeatability and accuracy, and simple operation. However, the use of high-voltage DC power supply, ablative spark temperature is low, is not conducive to the formation of aerosols. In this paper, a high-energy spark pulse aerosol excitation source for the formation of aerosols for spark ablation metal samples is proposed, and the excitation source uses highenergy spark pulse discharge to continuously ablate metal samples to produce micro and nano-scale aerosols, which can be directly used for ICP mass spectrometry or spectroscopy for elemental analysis. The spark pulse discharge electric aerosol excitation source pulse energy of 855mJ, the ablation time is up to 125us, the ablation point is uniform and has a good remelting effect, and the particle size of the aerosol particles formed is uniform, which proves that it has high stability and reliability.
