Abstract
In order to explore the evolution characteristics of the traffic flow in the continuous confluence area of the expressway, and improve the overall operation efficiency of the expressway. The research is based on simulation experiments to deeply study the evolution law of traffic flow in the continuous confluence area. First, the micro simulation model parameters are calibrated and verified based on the measured data in the confluence area, and a simulation experiment platform with high accuracy and wide applicability is built to carry out experimental research. Under different main line and on-ramp flow combinations, the size of the related influence range of adjacent on-ramps is quantitatively analyzed, and finally a kind of related influence distance is selected as the research scenario to reveal the general evolution law of traffic flow in the continuous confluence area.
