Abstract
The results of Monte Carlo polarized solar radiative transfer simulation using the MCPOLART (Monte Carlo POLArized Radiatve Transfer) package in a Rayleigh atmosphere with a ruffled water surface are presented. The light reflection matrices from the wave water surface are calculated using the model described by Mishchenko and Travis (1997). We briefly describe general statements used in simulating the light polarization and the model for bidirectional polarized reflectance of wave surface. We give estimates of Stokes parameters and degree of polarization, obtained on the basis of numerical experiments, of how polarization influences the intensity of incident and reflected solar radiation in the visible spectral range for different lighting, observation and surface conditions.
