The variations of lightning discharge number located within the territory of 40-80 N and 60-180 E summarized in different periods (daily, monthly, summer season) in 2009-2016 were considered. The sufficient negative correlation of lightning activity in the west of considered area (45-60 N, 60-90 E) and lightning activity in the east of considered area (40-55 N, 110-140 E) is suggested to be explained by the synoptic processes. The relation between lightning activity and quasibiennial oscillation in atmosphere during 8 years of observation is assumed.
