Abstract
A package simulating the performances of optical systems to be installed on board of space probes is presented. The package is based on the use of 3-D CAD techniques and allows to produce a set of artificially degraded images simulating what should actually see a space probe approaching a target. An animation-film reproducing the approach can be obtained by linking the pictorial device to an aquisition system. A specific application of the package is described.
