Abstract
A new method of image denoising was presented via combining contourlet transform and the stationary wavelet transform which has an iterative filer bank with stationary wavelet transform and the directional filter banks (DFB). The experimental results show that in terms of image denoising, the proposed method can suppress speckle in SAR images effectively while preserving the edge features and textural information of the scene.
