Abstract
We have studied conductance fluctuations 5g due to quantum interference in mesoscopic modulation doped GaAs/AIGaAs heterostructures as a function of Fermi energy EF and as discrete time-dependent switching noise in various applied magnetic fields B at low temperatures. These systems have no, or negligibly small spin-orbit scattering. We observe a reduction of the variance by a net factor of four. This reduction results from a breaking of the spin degeneracy due to Zeeman splitting.
